Hello! Thank you for stopping by to learn more about Lola's Dog Dish. I'm Kristin Harding - owner of LDD's. I have a passion to care for animals in all shapes and sizes. It is because of this passion that I ambushed the idea of re-entering the world of "corporate America" to pursue the desire to do something that I love. It is my love for my very own fur-child, Lola, that gave me the inspiration to start out on the venture. I met Lola while volunteering for Tulsa Boxer Rescue, I was called out to pick up a young pup that was in serious need of medical attention. I pulled up to the house and there was Lola, chained outside in the cold, covered in scabs, skinny as a bag of bones and almost completely bald. It was terrible...that someone would neglect an innocent animal like that. At that moment, I knew that I was going to adopt Lola and care for her the way she should have been treated from the very beginning.

Lola spent about a week in the doggie ICU before I could bring her home. I visited her every day - I would just hold her and tell her it was going to be alright and that she was going to embark on her new life with me...spoiled as could be! When she finally came home, she was eating like a queen. Homemade dog food with chicken, steamed veggies, brown rice, eggs, and supplements...the list goes on! But, anything for my little angel. It was the look in her dark, soulful eyes that would stare up at me and tell me how grateful she was. I always say that, "Yes, I saved Lola, but with everything we went through, I feel like she saved me. She taught me so much." Lola reminded me about being truly thankful and loving unconditionally. After all, isn't that what these wonderful companions of ours do? Love us unconditionally.

So, it is because of the bond that I have with Lola that made me realize how much I love caring for animals. And thus, Lola's Dog Dish became a reality to me! I couldn't be more excited about it!
